Aviator Aircraft Sales was appointed to represent APCO Infratech Pvt Ltd, an India-based infrastructure group, in the international sale of its Embraer Legacy 500, registration M-LOVB, Serial Number 55000069.
The transaction involved multiple jurisdictions and a number of highly regarded organisations within the international business aviation sector. Aviator Aircraft Sales remained directly involved throughout the process, coordinating the commercial, technical, regulatory and closing elements of the sale on behalf of our client.
Following initial discussions with the prospective purchaser, Scanwings of Finland, Aviator coordinated an aircraft viewing in London, allowing the buyer and its representatives to inspect the aircraft and progress their interest.
Once the aircraft had been selected, Aviator Aircraft Sales led the commercial negotiations on behalf of APCO Infratech, including negotiation of the purchase price and principal transaction terms. We subsequently managed the progression of the Aircraft Purchase Agreement (APA), working closely with the respective professional advisers to ensure that the commercial objectives of our client remained properly reflected within the contractual structure.
Pre-Purchase Inspection at Inflite Jet Centre
Following execution of the purchase agreement, the aircraft entered a detailed Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) at Inflite Jet Centre in the United Kingdom, one of the recognised business aviation maintenance organisations supporting Embraer aircraft.
Aviator Aircraft Sales remained closely involved throughout the inspection, acting as the seller’s representative and coordinating communication between APCO Infratech, Scanwings, Inflite Jet Centre and the respective technical representatives.
Our involvement included monitoring the inspection programme, managing the progression of technical findings and rectification items, and coordinating the process towards technical acceptance in accordance with the Aircraft Purchase Agreement.
This hands-on involvement was particularly important in ensuring that technical matters remained aligned with the contractual obligations of the parties while maintaining momentum towards closing.
International Closing and Escrow Coordination
The closing process required detailed coordination between several established aviation organisations across the United States, Isle of Man and Finland.
Aviator Aircraft Sales worked with the aviation transaction team at McAfee & Taft, who were involved in the closing process, transaction documentation and aircraft document filings. Their involvement provided specialist aviation transaction support through the final stages of the sale.
Regulatory coordination was equally important. As M-LOVB was registered with the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry, Aviator worked directly with the Registry throughout the export and de-registration process, coordinating the documentation required for the aircraft’s transfer to its new ownership and operating structure.
At the same time, we coordinated with Traficom – the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, supporting the regulatory transition of the aircraft into Finland and ensuring that the closing timetable remained aligned with the buyer’s registration requirements.

Closing and Delivery to Helsinki
Following completion of the pre-purchase inspection, satisfaction of the contractual closing requirements and coordination of the required regulatory documentation, Embraer Legacy 500 M-LOVB was delivered to Helsinki, Finland.
The aircraft sale was successfully closed in Helsinki, completing the transfer from its India-based corporate owner to its new Finnish buyer.
